In Lightnite, a creation of Satoshi’s Games, gamers find excitement in taking down adversaries with headshots while accumulating sats. This online multiplayer battle royale game, reminiscent of Fortnite, offers a unique twist: monetary gains and losses stem from player interactions. The Beta version is currently available, with the full release planned for November 2021.

The game adds an intriguing layer to the play-to-earn concept by presenting dual monetary outcomes. Players skillfully defeating opponents in player-versus-player battles are rewarded with Bitcoin, whereas those who fall victim to their foes incur a penalty and lose Bitcoin.

Lightning Network, Bitcoin’s Layer 2 solution, is employed by Lightnite to facilitate in-game microtransactions. Every participant maintains a dynamic in-game balance that grows when they eliminate other players, obtain valuable objects, and dwindles when they are attacked or meet their demise. Upon leaving the game, players can transfer their balance to personal wallets, choosing to save or spend it on a variety of items, both virtual and tangible.
